Straight up sound has been established in 2000 by DJ Weedim & selecta Buss'High. Their selections can be identified as a blend of reggae and hip-hop. They have produced a lot of mixtapes and compilations, and their mix technique is well recognized to be top quality.

They have played in a lot of famous Parisian club such as VIP Room (with Lil Jon), Madam, Bains Douches, Nouveau Casino, Divan du Monde, Gibus, La Galerie, Batofar… and as support act for Jamaican headliner such as Buju Banton, Anthony B,  Junior Kelly, 5th Element, Israël Vibration, Black Uhuru, Jah Mason, Gladiators, Alpha Blondy, Max Romeo and Big Youth.
