Eric Bobo is the son of Latin jazz musician Willie Bobo. He began drumming at the age of four, and made his first public appearance at the age of five, performing on stage with his father. When Bobo was 15, his father died and he took over his Latin jazz band for a full year while still in high school. With a recommendation from a friend, he got an audition with the Beastie Boys and was accepted to join them on their national "Check Your Head" tour. Bobo ended up recording with the Beastie Boys for the albums Ill Communication and Hello Nasty.

While on tour with the Beasties, Bobo met Cypress Hill and joined the group as their percussionist for their world tours, splitting time between both groups. As the Beastie Boys began taking major touring breaks, Bobo became an official full time member of Cypress Hill at the historic festival Woodstock '94 and has toured and recorded with the group ever since.

In August 2005, Bobo entered the studio in Tucson, Arizona to record his debut album, ' Meeting of the Minds, Vol. 1'. The album is an eclectic collection of songs that represent what Eric Bobo is all about. From his childhood as a Puerto Rican surrounded by Latin jazz legends to his days immersing himself in the underground hip hop scene and touring the world stages with the Beastie Boys and Cypress Hill, 'Meeting of the Minds' brings together the best of Bobo's friends and creative collaborators.

Eric Bobo (de son vrai nom Eric Correa), est le fils du musicien de jazz latino Willie Bobo. Il commence la batterie à 4 ans, et se produit pour la première fois un an plus tard à l’occasion d’un concert de son père. A l’âge de 15 ans, son père décède et Eric reprend le groupe durant toute une année alors qu’il est encore au lycée. Il se décide alors, sur conseil d’un ami, de se rendre à une audition des Beasties Boys et est retenu pour la tournée américaine de l’album « Check Your Head ». Il finit par jouer sur les albums « Ill Communication » et « Hello Nasty ».

Alors qu’il se trouve sur une tournée avec les Beasties Boys, Bobo rencontre Cypress Hill et les rejoint comme percussionniste pour leurs tournées mondiales. Il partage son temps entre les deux groupes, jusqu’à ce que Beasties Boys s’arrêtent, devenant alors membre de Cypress Hill à plein temps. Il commence officiellement avec eux lors du festival Woodstock ’94, et travaille avec eux depuis.

En Aout 2005, Bobo entre en studio pour enregistrer son premier album solo, « Meeting Of The Minds, Vol. 1 ». L’album est un patchwork de chansons à l’image de Bobo : éclectique. De son enfance portoricaine bercée par les légendes du jazz latino au son hip-hop qu’il adopte plus tard, l’album concentre toute la créativité de Bobo.
