Former sniper member is back in 2012 with two albums : "Etat D'Ame" in reggae style, and "Dualité", with Hip-hop sound.
Blacko, aka Afrikaf aka Tikaf Lakour aka Solitary Lion, was born in the Parisian suburb. He then moved in the south of France, where he discovered rap music. He started early to sing, in a band named KDM. At 15, he came back to the Parisian region, in Deuil-La-Barre, and quickly found a new band, A.R. posse. At 15, he changed again to join Kaotik. The same year, he became a member of the Comité de Deuil crew. Thanks to his reggae gift, he quickly got one of the top artist of the team. In 1997, he played in the Hip-Hop Folies festival of La Rochelle, and formed the band Sniper with two friends. Success finally came with this band, with them first album “Du Rire Au Larme”, which sold a lot in France. Blacko stood out with his reggae style.
He then met his father, a significant episode in his life. He discovered his roots: The Reunion Island.
In 2003, they released their 2nd album called “Gravé Dans La Roche”, which met a great success too. The same year, Blacko has had two motorbike accidents, which lead him to important doubting about his life. This questioning also influenced his music. He developed a conscious style, saying that his words are weapons.
In 2006 came out the third Sniper album: “Trait Pour Trait”. The tour following happened to be the last with Blacko, after the decision he made to leave the band, in order to concentrate himself to his solo career.
He released his first solo album in 2010, named “Enfant Du Soleil”, which contain only reggae music.
He is right now working on two new albums, a reggae one called “Etat d’Ame”, and a rap one called “Dualité”.
