Even if he doesn’t stand alone, Admiral T is one of the most important defender of the French west-indies’ reggae and dancehall with the broad audience.
His ghetto childhood brought him strength, sense of work and progression. Since his early sound-systems begin, his way of life is a constant development which find its roots to the Caribbean spirit : reggae, gwo ka, soca, salsa… He writes song dealing with consciousness and society issues, often in Kreyol, French west indies patois. He has become a major artist in his field, such as Kassav for instance.
His repertoire shows how much he is inspired by the reggae music culture as well as a strong Kreyol identity.
His new album “Face B” will be released in late February 2012, and will get a large promotion, with videos.
Check Amiral T, his musicians and dancers on stage, as early as this Spring, and on every summer festivals, for a burning show!
